Multi-Fuel & Wood Burning
A multi-fuel stove is very similar to a wood-burning stove in appearance and design. Multi-fuel refers to the capability of the stove to burn wood and also coal, wood pellets, or peat. Stoves that have a grate for the fire to burn on and a removable ash pan are generally considered multi-fuel stoves. We have great stoves on display in store as well as an extensive range in our catalogues at our South Shields showroom!
A wood-burning stove is capable of burning wood fuel and wood-derived biomass fuel, such as wood pellets. Generally these stoves are solid metal (usually cast iron or steel) closed fire chamber, a fire brick base and an adjustable air control. The stove will be connected by ventilating stove pipes to a suitable chimney or flue, which will fill with hot combustion gases once the fuel is ignited. Many wood-burning stoves are engineered such that they can be converted to multi-fuel stoves with the addition of a grate. We have some on display in our showroom and lots more in our catalogues as well. We now deliver to Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham and all surrounding areas in the North East.
